Two different providers with a presence in the state have announced improvements to their networks.
Verizon Wireless plans to bring its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to the Appleton area on November 17. The 4G network promises speeds up to 10 times faster than Verizon Wireless’ existing 3G network.
AT&T has upgraded its mobile broadband network in the Janesville area, including Milton, Edgerton, Darien, Beloit and the I-90/39 corridor. This network enhancement adds new layers of frequency, also known as “carriers,” to the cell sites. This improvement will provide better management of available spectrum and increase capacity.
