Get ready for March Madness with these apps

With the NCAA basketball tournament schedule set and my bracket (almost) finalized, I’m ready for March Madness to begin. Applications for Andriod and iOS are available to keep you up to date on all the action, even if you’re stuck at your desk. Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. March Madness Live. This all encompassing free application includes a slew of features that allows users to access the latest scores, set alerts for close games with less than 5 minutes of play left and post their bracket Facebook and Twitter. Users can also opt to pay $3.99 and live- stream all 67 games. The application is already available for iOS with the promise it will be Android ready by the first tip-off.
  2. Office Pool Picker. The novelty application is aimed to help those who have ignored NCAA until now. By choosing whether you prefer birds vs. bees or Captain America vs. Hulk, this application will fill out your bracket. You never know, you might just win the office pool with this 99 cent investment.
  3. PocketBracket March Madness Basketball. For those you can’t settle for just one bracket. PocketBracket allows users to create an unlimited amount of brackets with score updates to help keep your brackets straight for 99 cents.
  4. Bracketsby6yearolds. Need bracket advice from a bunch adorable six year olds? AT&T has teamed up with a group of first graders willing to give their game predictions.

Good luck to everyone attempting to multitask at work while the games are on. I’ll be rooting for Marquette’s Golden Eagles at my desk for Thursday’s game.
