New iPad sets single-day record sales

Apple and AT&T  experience record breaking sales for iPad sales and activations this weekend, signaling the iPad’s continuing popularity in the growing tablet market.

While Apple is keeping mum on the exact number purchased over the weekend, Apple CEO is “thrilled.” Whatever the sale numbers may be, no reports serviced of any carriers running out of the new iPad.

Since receiving my new iPad on Friday, it’s safe to say Apple has once again set the bar in the tablet market. While I thought the $499 price tag may deter some consumers, I’ve been proven wrong.
